Something new at Burdall's Yard: a true detective evening, with stories from the frontline of crime-fighting from a man who has seen it all.
Christian Plowman spent 16 years in the Met Police, living undercover and risking his life for his job. He started in plain clothes, cleaning the streets of Soho of dealers and pimps (or trying to...), moving on to posing as an addict in crack dens, infiltrating Eastern European organised crime, buying guns with tax-payers money and inviting physical attack from street gangs... among many other misadventures. At one point he had 11 separate identities - and 11 mobile phones.
Now working against wildlife traffickers in Africa, Christian shares hair-raising (and sometimes darkly funny) stories from his life as an undercover detective and reflects on the emotional toll it took on him, in conversation with regular True Tales host Duncan Steer.
If you are a fan of Line of Duty... or 24 hours in Police Custody... come and hear the story of what living in that world is really like.
Early tickets are £13. Full-price tickets are £14. There will be a chance to ask your own questions.
