Matt Rendell's Inside stories of the Tour de France

For the first time in Scotland... ITV Tour de France commentator Matt Rendell shares stories from his 25 years' covering the Tour - and his dealings with cycling's big names from Eddy Merckx to Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish to Chris Froome.

Matt's live shows delight audiences with a magically unpredictable mix of first-hand experiences of the biggest races on the calendar, bizarre/hilarious personal stories from his own maverick path through life and thought-provoking ideas about the future (and history) of the sport. 

As well as his longstanding TV roles, first on Channel 4 and more recently ITV, Matt is the author of eight acclaimed cycling books, including The Death of Marco Pantani (later made into a documentary) and Colombia Es Pasion, based around Matt's longtime expertise in Colombian sport. He has also written a book on his attempts to learn salsa. 

Matt Rendell will be in conversation at Oran Mor with former Procycling writer Duncan Steer, who hosted the storming sell-out evening with Eurosport Tour commentator Carlton Kirby in 2024. There will be a chance to ask your own questions and Matt will be signing books after the show..
