On the eve of the 2019 Tour de France, this is a rare chance to hear the insights of one of the leading figures in world cycling in an intimate theatre setting in central London.
Jonathan Vaughters is a record-breaking mountain climber, Tour de France stage winner and former team-mate to Lance Armstrong. He has had a ringside seat for the major events in world cycling for the last 20 years. From London, he will be heading straight to Brussels to prepare for the start of 2019 Tour, as manager of the Education First team.
In his new autobiography, "One-Way Ticket: Nine Lives on Two Wheels", Vaughters lifts the lid on a world he has both loved and loathed, detailing the fights and fall-outs with cycling's leading figures, including Lance Armstrong, Pat McQuaid, Johan Bruyneel, Bradley Wiggins and Dave Brailsford.
Jonathan Vaughters will be discussing his career with Jeremy Whittle (The Times, The Guardian, BBC 5 Live), in this special event at the historic Bridewell Theatre, just off Fleet Street, London EC4. There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask their own questions and to have books signed (and to enjoy pre- and post-show drinks in the Bridewell Theatre Bar.)
This intimate Q&A is Jonathan's only in-depth live interview around the release of the book. He is known as an entertaining and candid speaker and tickets are strictly limited, so do please reserve your place as soon as possible. Early Bird tickets, for £22 including a copy of One-Way Ticket (or £12 event only), are on sale until June 12, after which tickets will be priced at £25/£14.
