We are delighted to welcome the endurance cyclist and author Emily Chappell to Brighton on Tuesday November 12.

Emily's second book, 'Where There's A Will' is built around her success in The Transcontinental: a crazy/amazing bike race across Europe, in which riders had to complete 4000 kilometres, unassisted, in as short a time as possible. Barely sleeping, Emily managed it in 13 days 10 hours.

Just as her first book, 'What Goes Around', touched on many themes around life as a London cycle courier, so too the follow-up builds on the central account of winning one of the toughest races on the planet.

As well as being an acclaimed author, ex-cycle courier, adventurer and blogger, Emily is also a co-founder of The Adventure Syndicate, committed to promoting and supporting women in endurance sports.

Emily will be in conversation with former Procycling magazine writer Duncan Steer.

Just for this event, we are moving from our usual home to The Verdict, a basement jazz club close to Brighton Pavilion, 13 minutes' walk from Brighton station.

This is certain to be an entertaining, inspiring and insightful night. Space is limited, so do please book early to guarantee your place.

Tickets are £8 (event-only) or £20 including a copy of Emily's new book.
