We are delighted to welcome Matt Rendell, ITV Tour de France commentator and acclaimed author, for a special evening of cycling conversation at Dulwich and Sydenham Golf Club.
Matt will be looking ahead to this year's race (and back over the remarkable 2022 edition) as well as sharing stories from his dealings with cycling's big names, from Eddy Merckx to Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish to Bradley Wiggins and beyond.
Matt will be in conversation with former Procycling writer Duncan Steer.
Matt's live In Conversation shows bring a magic mix of his long experience of the Tour and other big races, bizarre/hilarious personal stories and thought-provoking ideas about the future of the sport. This will be an entertaining and illuminating evening of chat for all fans of cycling and the Tour de France.
Alongside his seven cycling books and contributions to print and broadcast media, Matt has worked for several teams; lived in Italy, Spain, France, Latvia and Colombia; written a book about learning salsa; and has past lives as a university lecturer and jazz double-bassist.
Whether reflecting on his own remarkable life or the big themes of sporting history illuminated in his books, Matt is a great story-teller and we look forward to an evening of revealing and entertaining conversation.
There will be a chance to ask your own questions.
Dulwich and Sydenham Golf Club is a terrific setting for our show, with its panoramic view over London.
We will also be serving dinner - a Chilli con carne, rice and salad one-course dinner OR with a vegetarian chilli option, also with rice and salad.
