Christian Plowman spent 16 years in the Met Police, living undercover and risking his life for his job. He started in plain clothes, cleaning the streets of Soho of dealers and pimps (or trying to...), moving on to posing as an addict in a crack den, infiltrating Eastern European organised crime and buying guns with tax-payers money... among many other misadventures. At one point he had 11 separate identities - and 11 mobile phones.
Now working against wildlife traffickers in Africa, Christian shares hair-raising (and sometimes darkly funny) stories from his life as an undercover detective and reflects on the emotional toll it took on him, in conversation with regular Chiswick True Tales host Duncan Steer.
