Redhead Darling

As of Jan. 2024 Redhead Darling co-founder Andy B. moved to Portland, OR and teamed up with singer Scarlett Nichols to initiate a new incarnation of Redhead Darling. Bringing an eclectic set of original and cover songs infused with musical whimsy and America-Folk-Country-Blues-Rock style their songs touch on the frailty of the human condition with gritty lyrics, tongue-in-cheek humor. Pulling from the long traditions of American Popular music Redhead Darling’s songs cover topics of Sinnin’, Drinkin’, Gamblin’, Lyin’, Cheatin’, Lying about Cheatin’, and all manner of general bad behavior.

Current Members:
Andy B. - Guitar and Vocals. Songwriter. From the mean streets of suburban New Jersey to chasing dreams in California,
Andy B. formed Redhead in Los Angeles in 2011. His loose style of playing and singing inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan among others, sets the tone for band. 

Scarlett Nichols - Vocals.
Enigmatic and mysterious, Scarlett appeared with a desire to command and lead a band. Inspired by The Pretty Reckless, she brings her dark vocal stylings to each song. Don’t let her reserved nature fool you. She is a woman in total control of herself and the band.
Calamiti Sammi - Bass. Songwriter.
Born of darkness, Sammi is new to music but a long time fixture of Portland’s underground Goth club scene. Forged out of spare parts, she brings her rock-a-billy stylings on the upright bass to the band along with an affinity for alt-country (y’alternative) music, and keen sense of writing lyrics.
Vinnie - Drums - keyboards.
As the newest member of band, Vinnie joined up after hearing them rehearse in the apartment across the way from his. Intrigued by his interest, the band brought him on to bang on things and hold it together. He also cooks.

Joshua Bennett

Joshua Bennett is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose songs explore the wide, often paradoxical range of human nature, from the noble to the reprehensible. His sets feature sentimental, family-man, acoustic ballads juxtaposed with full-tilt, bad boy, blues-rock songs celebrating the misfit and the rebel.

Josh has been writing songs and performing both solo and in various bands for over twenty years, including Cold Fusion, The Revenge Business, Pickman's Models, Carbon 40, and The Switchlings.

Josh teaches songwriting, guitar, vocal technique, home recording and production, and more.

He lives in Portland, Oregon with his partner, their child, and one bad, bad kitty.
