Wicked Craft: Bazaar and Craft Fairs are a seasonal market series that focuses on supporting women-owned businesses and artists. It is operated by Rae Loft at the Bakery Building and inspired by the earthy majestic arts of older times and our divine strength and creativity. We are  celebrating women & womxn from all walks of life. Our low cost booth options provide an accessible and affordable market access opportunity to artists in an inviting indoor space. 

Saturday, October 24th, 2026 from 12:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, October 25th from 12:00 am to 5:00 pm. 

Food, full bar, Samhain themed drinks, non alcoholic beverages, & music are offered by the venue.  This event is family friendly, with a little bit of magic.

SAMHAIN

Samhain is an ancient Gaelic seasonal festival, and now often celebrated by Wiccan and Pagan cultures. Modern Wicca adopted and reshaped Samhain as one of the eight Sabbats in the Wheel of the Year. Samhain is now considered a major Wiccan Sabbat celebrated from sunset on October 31 to sunset on November 1 to mark the final harvest and the beginning of the Witches' New Year. We celebrate it from October 20th through November 1st at Rae Loft.

It is marked the transition from the light half of the year into the dark half. Traditionally, it was associated with the end of the harvest, the beginning of winter, and a liminal time when the boundary between the living and the dead was believed to be especially permeable.

One of the best-known Samhain traditions involves large communal fires.

Historical accounts describe fires being lit at important gathering places, with people and livestock participating in rituals associated with protection and purification. In later folk traditions, household fires could be extinguished and then rekindled from a communal Samhain fire.

Fire symbolized protection, purification, warmth, and the continuation of life through winter.

This is where modern Samhain gets much of its association with spirits and ancestors. It is called The Parting of The Veil.

In traditional Gaelic belief, Samhain was considered a liminal period. Supernatural beings and the dead were thought to have greater access to the human world.

People might leave food or drink for visiting spirits and ancestors.

Modern Wiccans and Pagans often reinterpret this as an opportunity to:

• Honor deceased loved ones
• Remember ancestors
• Create an ancestor altar
• Light candles for those who have died and to warm the hearth and home in the coming change of season
• Reflect on mortality and the cycles of life
• Put up and celebrate the harvest
