Do you want to improve the mental health in your organisation but don’t know where to begin?

The rail industry workforce is exposed to unique working conditions. Shift patterns, challenging demands and exposure to potentially traumatic events are some of the issues that make the management of mental health in the industry particularly important. To support the workforce, it is vital for companies to take a structured and evidence-based approach to managing mental health.

The Railway Mental Health Charter (RMHC) is a free framework for rail organisations or those that work with the rail industry to help promote, manage and support workforce mental wellbeing at work. Aligned with good practice, the charter responds to industry needs and provides targeted actions and resources for improving mental health in your company. It is free for organisations to use and there is no cost associated with membership.

The RMHC, which was established in 2021, has recently been updated in line with the latest research and good practice evidence, so we would like to share with you the updated RMHC, along with practical examples from rail organisations who have implemented it.

This webinar will cover:

  • What the Railway Mental Health Charter is, and why it was created.
  • Key changes for 2024 and an overview of the 5 RMHC actions.
  • How to use the Charter and practical examples from organisations that have used it.
  • Demonstration of the new RMHC checklist.
