Step into a piece of living history at the iconic Wean Picnic Races. Running since 1933, this is one of Australia’s last true bush picnic race meetings – a day built on community, tradition, and a great country atmosphere.

Set in a stunning outback location, Wean offers a race day experience like no other. Round up your crew and settle in for a full day of racing, socializing, and good times.

TICKET OPTIONS

1. Premium Marquee Package

Upgrade your day with a reserved marquee right on the racecourse rail.

• 10 reserved seats under your own marquee

2. General Admission

Access to all public areas.

Bring a chair or picnic rug, find your spot, and enjoy the day.

3. Narrabri / Baan Baa Return Bus Fare

Return bus fare only. Race entry is not included and must be purchased separately.

Pickup times:
Narrabri Visitor Information Centre – 10:30am
Pirate Park Playground, Narrabri – 10:40am
Baan Baa Pub – 11:15am

Please arrive early. These are the earliest departure times and the bus will not wait for late passengers. You may board at any of the listed pickup points, regardless of ticket type. The bus will leave Wean Races at 6:00pm, returning via Baan Baa, Pirate Park Playground, then Narrabri Visitor Information Centre.

Please list all passenger names in the comments when purchasing. Bus tickets are non-refundable and no refunds will be given for missed departures.

• This is a licensed event with bar facilities operating throughout the day
• Food available on-site
• Bus tickets do not include race entry unless clearly stated
• Limited reception – organise meeting points and plans ahead of time

GATE SALES, IF AVAILABLE

Tickets may be available at the gate closer to the event, subject to capacity.

• $25 per person
• Cash preferred for faster entry
• EFTPOS available at the bar, however signal can be patchy

Please note: Tickets are non-refundable. If the event is postponed due to weather, tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date and may be transferred.
