Spending time in nature during Ramadan can be powerful - and you don’t have to experience it alone.

Our Nature Walk in partnership with WWF has been created to bring people together for reflection, connection, and gentle movement in the outdoors before coming together for Open Iftar at AFC Wimbledon.

Join us for this special Nature Walk as part of Ramadan Festival 2026 and embrace the spirit of mindfulness, community, and well-being during the holy month.

On Friday, March 13th, guests will gather at Wimbledon Park for a guided WWF Nature Walk, before walking together to AFC Wimbledon for Open Iftar.

(If you hold a Nature Walk ticket, you will automatically be granted entrance to Open Iftar at AFC Wimbledon.)

What is the WWF Nature Walk?

Connect with amazing nature in the city with a guided nature walk through Wimbledon Park, led by ecologist Connor Butler. Learn how a daily dose of nature can improve our wellbeing. When we restore nature, nature restores us.

Aligned with the spiritual essence of Ramadan, the walk promotes holistic well-being - nurturing mental, physical, and spiritual health through mindful engagement with nature.

Welcoming participants from all backgrounds, this walk creates space for meaningful conversations, shared learning, and community connection.

The Nature Walk is one of the activations taking place as part of Ramadan Festival 2026 at Ramadan Tent Project, an award-winning charity that brings communities together.

Our mission is to turn strangers into friends, and that is why our events are open to everyone - people of all faith backgrounds and none.

What can I expect?

A guided outdoor walk led in partnership with WWF, offering moments of reflection, discussion, and connection with nature and one another.

Guests should be comfortable with approximately 1.5 hours of outdoor walking in total (including the guided walk and the walk to AFC Wimbledon). The route is steady-paced and social, allowing everyone to arrive at the venue together ahead of Open Iftar.

Those attending Open Iftar afterwards will have the opportunity to break their fast, pray Maghrib and enjoy the evening programme together.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Please dress appropriately for outdoor weather conditions and wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • We recommend bringing water (if you are not fasting) and dressing in layers.
  • The walk will go ahead in light rain; however, organisers may adjust the route if necessary.
  • RTP is not responsible for any valuables brought on the walk.

By booking a ticket for this event, I fully understand that I will participate in this Nature Walk at my own risk and hereby release Ramadan Tent Project and its directors, officers, past and present employees, volunteers, partners, and participants from all liability, claims, losses, or damages arising from my participation.
