Free Lunchtime Concert - Julie Peat
Thu 22 Aug 2024 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
St George's Church, CT11 8RE
Description
For our first lunchtime concert Julie Peat will take us on a journey through time (and back again!).
Performing a varied programme of solo cello music, Julie will showcase works from the 1700s all the way through to the present day, and explore how recent works have been inspired and influenced by those of earlier composers.
Julie Peat is a freelance cellist based in Kent. A versatile musician, she has worked as a solo, chamber and orchestral player both at home and abroad, performing a wide range of music from classical to pop. Recent engagements have included concertos with the Bradstow Symphony Orchestra, Folkestone Symphony Orchestra and the Kingston Third Age Orchestra, as well as performances with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, and as part of Sweden’s televised P3 Guld award show.
