Sound in Structure

Fortunately this beautiful church is literally built for sound so it will still be a wonderful, relaxing and resonating experience.

Crystal quartz bowls, gongs, drums, chimes, voice, and percussion weave together into a layered, harmonic soundscape that responds directly to the garden’s contours and atmosphere. Audiences are invited to sit, lie, or move through the space during the 40-minute meditative session, engaging with the sound in their own way.

Sound in Structure encourages deep listening and spatial awareness, offering a gentle reimagining of public space through sound, presence, and Ramsgate’s coastal heritage.

No experience is needed - this session is open to all.
Please avoid eating 2 hours before the session to allow your body to be in a rested state.
Cushioned mats and eye pillows are provided.
Please bring a warm blanket or sleeping bag, cushion, thick socks, and anything else you need to be comfortable and warm lying down on hard floors.

Parking - there is parking on Hadres Street  (check machine re Sunday) and there are single yellows on Broad Street.

There is a ramp for this church but it is VERY steep so while the church is technically accessible for wheelchair users it is quite an effort to get up the ramp.
