Sonic Trail

Free Entry (12PM - 4PM Daily)

Welcome to the Sonic Trail, the captivating, imaginative soul of the Ramsgate Festival of Sound. We invite you to step off the beaten track and immerse yourself in a curated journey of site-specific sound installations at some of Ramsgate’s most unique locations.

Coinciding with the first weekend of English Heritage Open Days, this year's trail celebrates the brilliant intersection of local history and sound art, inspired by the theme ‘Everyday Histories. Each installation represents a new work, specially commissioned by the Festival of Sound.

From mesmerising field recordings to avant-garde audio art, each piece is specifically crafted to dialogue with its environment, turning familiar historic corners into extraordinary sensory discoveries. It is a completely free, self-guided adventure designed for the curious listener. Grab your map, open your ears to the unexpected and enjoy the Sonic Trail, open 12 - 4PM daily.
