What the Fermentation?!

A talk through the who's, what's and why's of fermented foods and how to use them, presented by Mike Jones of The Fermentorium. Where did they begin, why are they important to us as a species and how can they become important again?

Mike has been a brewer and fermenter of 15 years and worked as a professional beer brewer on two continents over several breweries. He is also an avid member of The Fermenters Guild, the UKs first and only guild for wild fermentation. Has spent his last two years working as a fermentation consultant but will soon be superseded as he opens his bottleshop/fermentry and pub. The Fermentorium (38 King Street, Ramsgate) will be a place for people to come together to enjoy all things fermented whether that be a pint of beer, a glass of wine, a cup of kombucha or a delicious jar of kimchi. There will also be lectures, lessons, talks and meet the producers as well as other pop up events in the future.
