Candidate Survivor: Spokane's Spiciest Candidate Forum

For the last few months, we’ve been cooking up something hot…a candidate forum for those who like their local politics with a bit of spice.

With the primaries nearing and election season in full swing, we are so excited to invite you to join worker-owned news outlet RANGE Media and Washington’s premier youth-led civic engagement organization The Washington Bus Education Fund onstage for a candidate forum unlike any other; think Hot Ones meets Survivor meets local issues. 

On Thursday, July 30 from 6 to 9 pm, we’ll be hosting Candidate Survivor: Spokane’s Spiciest Candidate Forum at the Overbluff Cellars in the Washington Cracker Building, and we would be honored to have you join us to watch as we put candidates running for Congressional District 5, State Legislative District 3 and State Legislative District 6 through the ringer. Doors open at 5 pm for mingling!

The evening will begin at 6pm with candidates from the 6th Legislative district, followed by candidates from the 3rd Legislative district at 7 pm, and finally, candidates running for the 5th Congressional District at 8 pm. They’ll join our reporter onstage and go head-to-head with their district opponent, eating spicier food and answering spicier questions about their campaigns and their big plans for our region. 

For those who want to join  the candidates in the spicy fun, chefs at Hogwash Whiskey Den have cooked up a meal of their famous buffalo wings and trademark Mac salad available for just $20. No vegan/vegetarian option available. Sales for this shut off end of day Tuesday so the chefs can get a solid headcount.
