A trip  for Ravenshead u3a members to the National Memorial Arboretum will take place on Thursday 12 November, when the Remembrance tributes will still be in place.

The group will travel by coach, departing Ravenshead at 9.00am with 2 pick up points; Bottom of Church Drive near The Ranger and the Top of Church Drive near junction with Sheepwalk Lane.

. Entrance to the Arboretum is free.

The Daily Act of Remembrance takes place at 11.00am in the Millennium Chapel, located on Heroes’ Square. Visitors should be seated by 10.50am.

Optional guided tours can be booked on arrival (subject to availability; charges apply and are payable on the day). A Land Train tour is also available, with the fare payable on the day. The land train tour is 45 mins long and it isn't possible to leave the train during the tour. The cost for the land train is £8.

The coach will leave The National Memorial Arboretum at 4.00 pm, so expected return time to Ravenshead is 5.00pm, depending on the traffic.

Although Ru3a activities and outings are covered by third party Public Liability insurance, there is NO personal accident insurance cover. Members coming on the trip do so at their own risk.

Organisers aim to break even, although small surpluses may sometimes occur. If this happens, refunds will only be made where someone has overpaid, and only when the amount due is more than £5 per person.
