Where discovery takes center stage

The 13th annual Raw Science Film Festival returns to New York City November 4–7, 2026, with four days of films, performances and conversations about science on screen, capped by our awards night at Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

Since 2014, Raw Science has showcased films on any science subject and in any form, including documentaries, dramatic features, shorts, animation and new media, from professional, student and youth filmmakers around the world.

Awards Night: Friday, November 6
Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts

• 10am–4pm: Film screenings
• 5–6pm: Red carpet
• 6–8pm: Awards ceremony
• 8–9:30pm: Reception

On stage:

• Climate scientist Michael E. Mann discusses his new book Science Under Siege, written with Peter J. Hotez
• Live excerpts from An Asteroid Named Kate Bush with Jan Rosenberg and their original cast, and Jack Fry in Einstein! The Play, winner of Best Public Art in 2025
• This year's winners announced live, including the Kip Thorne Gravity Award for Best Depiction of a Scientific Principle, the Stephen Wolfram Award for Best Technical Advisor, the Lynda Obst Award for Best Picture, and the Backstage Best Actor and Best Actress Awards

Bruno Walter Auditorium: 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 10023. Enter at 111 Amsterdam Avenue, between 64th and 65th Streets. The auditorium is fully accessible.

VIP Tickets
VIP ticket holders are invited to a private 30-minute reception inside Lincoln Center after the awards ceremony. You'll join festival leadership, the board and guests from science media. 

More During Festival Week
Thursday and Saturday events take place at other New York City venues, which will be announced soon.

• Thursday, November 5: film screenings from 10am–4pm and a social event at 7pm
• Saturday, November 7: workshops, tours and theatrical performances
