This is your opportunity to support football coaches all over Africa by sponsoring or donating places on Ray Power's Coach Development Programme.

The centre-piece of the work of Ray Power Coach Education, the Coach Development Programme (CDP), began during lockdown 2020. The aim of the programme was to support and develop coaches in a meaningful way. During covid, social media became awash with webinars, books and courses, but rarely did they connect learning. 

Although the programme has morphed over the last 4+ years, the tried and trusted format remains. These elements have made the programme so popular and successful with thousands of coaches from 40+ countries:

1. Expert guests delivering world-class presentations. Guests have included stellar names like Per Mertesacker, René Meulensteen, Michael Beale, Dan Abrahams - and dozens more niche experts, academy coaches, authors and industry experts.

2. Book share. After each webinar, members receive a book that relates to the webinar topic. This reinforces learning and ensure that learning does not end when we hit 'log off'.

3. 1:1 Networking. After each webinar, members are given a 1:1 partner to connect with. Coaches can then network based around the topic in question, and hopefully develop a further relationship over time.

4. Share / Discussion Group. All members are placed in a programme-specific WhatsApp group - and also with the option of joining a long-term Ray Power Coach Education group!

African coaches have been part of 'CDPs' since their inception. This is due to Ray's passion for the continent, having working in Tanzania for two years, and also in the slums of Uganda in 2013. The lack of access for coaches to top education, either because of geography or costs, annoys him greatly and is something he has aimed to improve through his ambassadorial relationship with the African Coaches League.

Ray said:

"I try to give opportunites to African coaches, as much as I can, whilst also being aware that the 75% discount is still not enough for some of the most disadvantaged people on the planet. So, I am hoping that donations and sponsorships will help drive this. A full sponsor, so that we can run an Africa-only programme, over a period of months, would be wonderful! We may get this is one swoop, or we made need to add it up with smaller donations and sponsors, but I am confident that people's kindness will get us there!"
