Discover RDA

Enriching lives through horses since 1969

At Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), we believe in the extraordinary connection between people and horses. Every year, we support over 39,000 disabled children and adults through riding, carriage driving, vaulting and equine assisted activities that build confidence, improve wellbeing and create lasting impact.

We are pioneers in the therapeutic use of horses, leaders in disability sport, and the only major UK charity focused specifically on the health and wellbeing benefits of bringing people and horses together.

Why it matters

Our innovative programmes improve mobility, boost physical health and mental wellbeing, build confidence, and teach new skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

We welcome people of all ages and abilities, including those with physical and learning disabilities, sensory impairments, long-term health conditions, and neurodiversity.
