Course Detail:
Episode 1: What is thinking? Understand the importance of both conscious and unconscious processes and the art of reasoning
Episode 2: Why do we think what we think - surprising and enriching knowledge that will assist us in our daily lives
Episode 3: How authoritarian, homogenising social structures inhibit freedom of thought and action
Episode 4: The Age of Nudge. How humans are influenced to change their behaviour and why it’s important to be able to discern
Episode 5: Envisaging a free and flourishing society: from the centralised state to the polycentric republic
Episode 6: Why flourishing societies need critical thinkers and non-conformists
In addition, everyone signed up to the full workshop series will receive a copy of all course materials with additional reading and information links plus links to the recorded sessions for 4 weeks after the event
A bit about the presenters:
Sinead Stringer holds a Masters in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics, one of the leading institutions in this field globally. In 2021 she worked with PANDA to create a series of initiatives designed to promote conscious engagement. She has also worked previously with David Charalambous for THiNKTWICE creating memes and infographics to raise cognitive dissonance and improve active decision making. She is a change and transformation consultant who targets operational and behavioural risk and works primarily in regulatory and governance areas in financial institutions. David Chalalambous is a behavior and communication expert and the founder of ReachingPeople.net, a project dedicated to helping people communicate with those of differing views. He has 25 years of experience consulting with multinational clients and one-on-one with individuals from all walks of life. He has extensively studied NLP, Behavioural Science and different modes of Behaviour and Communication. He has been on numerous podcasts and presented at conferences on influence, behavior, and communication.
David Thunder is a political philosopher and a permanent Research Fellow at the University of Navarra’s Institute for Culture and Society in Pamplona, Spain. David earned his BA and MA in philosophy at University College Dublin, and his Ph.D. in political science at the University of Notre Dame. David's research, which aims to illuminate the political structures of free and flourishing societies, exposes the limitations of top-down, Statist models of order and the advantages of bottom-up, community-based approaches to the governance of social life. David’s academic writings include The Polycentric Republic: A Theory of Civil Order for Free and Diverse Societies (Routledge, 2025), Citizenship and the Pursuit of the Worthy Life (Cambridge University Press, 2014), The Ethics of Citizenship in the 21st Century (edited volume, Springer, 2017), and numerous articles in leading academic journals such as the American Journal of Political Science, Political Theory, and Journal of Business Ethics. In addition, David has published dozens of op eds on current affairs issues in newspapers such as The Irish Times and El Mundo and runs a blog about issues affecting freedom in the West, called The Freedom Blog.
