Breakfast Gathering

Following the success of last years Transforming Southwark's Cathedral prayer breakfast we invite you and your teams to join us for a special Gospel Saturation Prayer Breakfast, held at the iconic Southwark Cathedral - Garry Weston Library on July 16th 9.30AM. Together we'll enjoy a fresh continental breakfast with tea, coffee, and fresh juice. Space is limited so book early to avoid disappointment. 

Building on last years keynote from John McGinley, Director of Myriad on the subject of Making Disciples and from leaders Phil Stokes and Lincoln Serwanga chair and co chair of Transform Southwark on a vision for seeing our borough transformed through the collaboration of churches, charities and businesses, we will explore the theme of Multiplying Churches, asking the question ‘how do we collaborate to multiply churches and provide repeated access to the gospel for every man woman and child through planting one church per thousand people in Southwark’. (1:1000).  

NB: This is not a church planting conference but rather a Gospel Saturation Prayer Breakfast.

We are thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker will be Alex Harris, Director of the St Hild Centre for Church Planting. Alex is Yorkshire Baptist Association Regional Minister for Pioneering and Church Planting, specifically responsible for empowering and releasing pioneering, experimentation and innovation in gospel-planting and church creation. He is also co-leader of the Firestarters Network of growing churches helping churches to grow. Alex acts as a co-convener for the National Church Planting Network uniting denominations, networks, and streams in a collaborative desire to reach England together through planting new churches, revitalising existing churches and reimagining what church for the future will look like. 

We will also share and hear news from other leaders around the borough, whilst creating space and time to cover each other in prayer and to bless and pray for all the transformative work God is doing in our community.

Transform Southwark Charity and Southwark For Jesus are a growing ecumenical network comprising leaders from across Anglican, Baptist, Elim, Pentecostal, New Covenant Church, Salvation Army, RCCG, Methodist, Pioneer Network, New Frontiers, Independent, New Black Majority Churches, and others. Therefore, this breakfast gathering is going to be a unique opportunity to bring your teams and connect with a diverse mix of leaders from across the borough to encourage and strengthen one another to press on with the work God has called us to do.
