at Oaktrack Smallholding with local artist Rebecca Maynard

• £120 for the day which includes  booking fees, lunch, all materials, firing and glazing cost   ( 2 bottles , 1 large, 1 small)                                                                                

 Join expert tutor and sculptor , Rebecca on this new one day workshop, in the tranquil surroundings of Oaktrack Smallholding near Andover.

If you are new to Rebecca's classes then this is suitable for all abilities. Experiment with a variety if mark making, tools, textures and stamps to create unique textured surfaces. Rebecca will then guide you through a  a step-by-step construction process using your textured clay slabs to create your own unique textured clay vessel. You will have the opportunity to create 2 forms ( 2 bottles large and small ) throughout the day . Rebecca welcomes children 11+ on the workshop if accompanied by an adult as they may need some extra support. 

Your finished  pieces will then be dried glazed using oxides to enhance the pattern and texture on the surface and fired in the kiln  at Rebecca's studio in nearby Upton, ready for collection from Oaktrack within 2 to 3 weeks

Parking

There is plenty of parking at Oaktrack. Gravel paths and no step into venue.

What to bring

Hopefully we will be blessed with warm weather however it can be cool first thing in the morning in the barn at Oaktrack so bring extra layers just in case.

Refreshments and food

Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day.

Please note: If you would like a speciality coffee and cake these can be purchased from Oaktrack on the day.

Home cooked lunch is provided by Oaktrack and included in price. ( homemade quiche and salad or Soup and bread)
