Join us on Sunday 23 February from 11am - 12.30pm for some gorgeous poetry and lively conversation - come as you are!

As usual, we'll begin with our regular open mic – showcasing poems from our brilliant network of women poets – before diving in to our practical chat. There's no set theme for this month's open mic but if you're looking for inspiration, we invite you to let your mind wander on the phrase 'free & easy' and see where it takes you. The topic of the chat will be decided during the interval, so come along and shape the conversation! 

We welcome all women poets at any stage of their career to sign up and take part. You can sign up to read a poem or you can just listen to some fantastic poetry and enjoy a good chinwag with our wonderful community of women poets. You do you!

WHAT TO EXPECT...

Please note, that once the open mic has started, latecomers will be admitted in the breaks between each poet.

11 - 11.05 am - Welcome

11.05 - 11.55 am - Our open mic is one poem per person, max 12 line-up. We'll screen share poems for accessibility. Plus, it's wonderful to see people's craft at work.

11.55 am - 12.30 pm - Our practical chat is always lively and inspiring. You don't need to be an expert to join the conversation, your curiosity is more than enough! Bring your compassion and encouragement, and let's see where the conversation will take us.

After the event you're welcome to stick around for our optional breakout rooms where you can continue the conversation in smaller groups. They're the perfect place to make connections with other women poets across the UK.
