On behalf of the Mecklenburg County ReCAST Program, I would like to invite you to an upcoming information session to learn more about our free wellness workshops available to organizations serving youth and families across Mecklenburg County.

These workshops are offered through the Department of Public Health, courtesy of SAMHSA, in partnership with The Compassionate Companion®, led by Carla A. Carlisle and her team of skilled facilitators.

During the session, we will provide an overview of our core workshops, including:

Notebook Navigators
An engaging, interactive workshop for elementary and middle school youth using My Big Notebook to build coping skills, emotional awareness, and resilience.

My Epic Flow Experience
Designed for teens and young adults, this workshop supports self-expression, decision-making, and navigating real-life challenges with confidence.

Healing Roots: Resilience Workshop
A powerful experience for youth, adults, and caregivers focused on understanding intergenerational trauma and building resilience.

Navigating Wellness Together
A workshop for parents and caregivers that provides practical tools to support children’s mental wellness while strengthening family connection.

All workshops include:

  • Free materials for participants, including books
  • Skilled, trauma-informed facilitators
  • On-site delivery at your location
  • Interactive and culturally responsive content

We are also proud to offer Spanish versions of Notebook Navigators and My Big Notebook, along with Spanish-speaking facilitators to better serve your community.
