Description

A Ritualwell Immersion with Cathleen Cohen

$ 144  for 4 sessions: Mondays, January 18, 25 and February 1, 8, 2021 ; 7-8 PM ET.

Jewish poets from the past offer us their voices, wisdom and concerns, many of which connect to our lives today. We'll explore the work of some fascinating Jewish American poets, such as Horace Traubel (friend of Walt Whitman), experimental Objectivist poets (George Oppen, Charles Reznikoff, and Louis Zukofsky), Muriel Rukeyeser, Denise Levertov, Adrienne Rich and others. Many were steeped in social activism and explorations of the self and the functions that poetry can serve.

Please join us as we follow the threads of past writers. Their writing will inspire our own work.

Each participant will receive one individual half-hour session with the instructor during the course of this offering.

All sessions will be recorded and available to participants. You may join the session live or watch recordings at your own convenience.
