RECORD is the Local Environmental Records Centre for Cheshire, Halton, Warrington and Wirral

We are a wildlife conservation organisation and our mission is to further the appreciation, understanding and protection of the Cheshire region’s wildlife and habitats. Our main role is to collect and manage information on the natural environment from this area. As part of this, we support wildlife recorders of all abilities in the local area through providing advice and information, and facilitating networking and connections amongst the community. We aim to make wildlife recording accessible and attractive to everyone, for the benefit of both people and the environment.

Most of this data that we hold and manage comes in the form of biological records, but we also hold information on habitats and geodiversity sites. We aim to make this information available to those who need it locally so that it can contribute to understanding of local biodiversity and ultimately to the protection of species and habitats.
