The City Nature Challenge is a global wildlife recording event which unites people in over 500 City Regions all over the world for 4 days of nature observation. We're calling on the people of Chester and beyond to take part by recording through the iNaturalist app 25 - 28 April to help boost our region total! This is Chester's third year taking part and we have set ourselves some ambitious targets!
In this free webinar ahead of the main event, we'll be filling you in on all you need to know about how to get involved. Come along to find out exactly what the City Nature Challenge is and why it's important, plus learn how to use the free iNaturalist wildlife recording app which the challenge is based around. We'll be sharing hints and tips for making the best wildlife observations and getting the most out of the app so you can go away and practice your skills ahead of the main event.
This webinar is perfect for anyone who wants to take part in the City Nature Challenge either as an individual or with a group. If you are planning to run your own event for the City Nature Challenge, this is a great chance to gain skills that will help you with using the app and to ask any questions that you might have about the challenge ahead of the main event. Those taking part individually are also very welcome to attend.
This is an online event. The event is hosted by RECORD on Zoom which is free to use in this context. You will receive a link to the session when you book your place. Only 1 ticket is needed per household (as long as you all watch through the same device).
We are also running an in-person training event on 12 April, which would be the perfect chance to test out your skills! Please book for the in-person event separately (link above).
