Discover the wild side of your city and be part of something global! 🌍✨

The City Nature Challenge is back—bringing together people from over 500 regions worldwide for four days of wildlife discovery and recording.

Join us for a relaxed, guided stroll along the Greenway as we explore this vibrant wildlife corridor and contribute to the Chester Region’s tally. Using the easy-to-use iNaturalist app, we’ll photograph and record everything we spot—no expertise needed, just curiosity and a love of nature.

Expect hedgerows bursting into bloom, with wildflowers like bluebells, vetches, and cowslips lining our path, alongside the birds and insects that call this habitat home. Come along, connect with nature, and help put Chester on the global wildlife map! 🌿📸

This is an IN-PERSON event taking place outside. We will be meeting at Blacon Old Station and returning there at the end of the walk. Details on the exact meeting point will be emailed to you when you book - please check your spam box if you've not heard from us.

Accessibility: We will be taking  a slow stroll along the Greenway and sticking to marked paths. The route follows a flat, tarmac path. If you have any mobility needs or other additional needs please do not hesitate to get in touch with us ahead of the event to discuss (email info@record-lrc.co.uk).

This session is aimed at adults and older children (i.e. those able to use the app on their own device), however anyone is welcome to attend (under 18s need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult). The event is free to attend. Please make sure you book tickets for everyone attending through Ticket Tailor as there are limited numbers.

The session is hosted by RECORD.
