Uncover the wild side of your city—and help put it on the global nature map! 🌍✨

The City Nature Challenge returns, uniting nature-lovers from more than 500 regions for four exciting days of discovering and documenting local wildlife.

Join us for a laid-back evening exploring Limewood Fields, where we’ll wander through a mix of habitats in search of the plants and animals that call this space home. RECORD staff will be on hand with tips for using the iNaturalist app and helping identify anything we find. No prior experience is needed, just an enthusiasm for nature.

Expect wildflowers, trees, and plenty of fascinating invertebrates—and if we’re lucky, we might even spot some of the park’s nocturnal residents as dusk begins to fall.

This is an IN-PERSON event taking place outside. Details on the exact meeting point will be emailed to you when you book - please check your spam box if you've not heard from us.

Accessibility: We will be taking  a slow stroll around the site where there are well-surfaced paths. There will be the chance to venture off the paths if you would like to. If you have any mobility needs or other additional needs please do not hesitate to get in touch with us ahead of the event to discuss (email info@record-lrc.co.uk).

This session is aimed at adults and older children (i.e. those able to use the app on their own device), however anyone is welcome to attend (under 18s need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult). The event is free to attend. Please make sure you book tickets for everyone attending through Ticket Tailor as there are limited numbers.

The session is hosted by RECORD.
