Wander through glades of bluebells and enjoy the scent of wild garlic as we explore the rich woodland wildlife of Rivacre Valley. Join RECORD botanists Sarah and Gavin for a gentle, curiosity-filled walk, where you’ll discover, learn about and help identify the plants that make this ancient woodland so special.

This event is part of the global City Nature Challenge, uniting people in more than 500 cities to document the nature on their doorstep. Using the free iNaturalist app, we’ll record the plants—and any other species—we find along the way.

No experience needed: just bring your enthusiasm for the outdoors, a love of nature, and a willingness to get stuck in!

This is an IN-PERSON event taking place outside. Details on the exact meeting point will be emailed to you when you book - please check your spam box if you've not heard from us.

Accessibility: We will be taking  a slow stroll around the site where there are well-surfaced paths. Rivacre Valley does have slopes. If you have any mobility needs or other additional needs please do not hesitate to get in touch with us ahead of the event to discuss (email info@record-lrc.co.uk).

This session is aimed at adults and older children (i.e. those able to use the app on their own device), however anyone is welcome to attend (under 18s need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult). The event is free to attend. Please make sure you book tickets for everyone attending through Ticket Tailor as there are limited numbers.

The session is hosted by RECORD.
