Step into a surprising pocket of nature hidden right in the heart of town! During this relaxed walk, we’ll wander through woodland paths and meadow trails, discovering the plants and animals that call this greenspace home. Together, we’ll use the free iNaturalist app to record what we find and help build a bigger picture of local wildlife.

This event is part of the global City Nature Challenge, which brings people from over 500 cities together to celebrate and document urban biodiversity. Greenspaces like this are vital havens for wildlife—your observations help us protect them.

RECORD staff will be there throughout the session to share tips, guide you through the app, and help identify species along the way. No experience needed—just curiosity and a love of the outdoors!

This is an IN-PERSON event taking place outside. Details on the exact meeting point will be emailed to you when you book - please check your spam box if you've not heard from us.

Accessibility: We will be taking  a slow stroll around the site where there are well-surfaced paths. It is worth being aware that there are slopes at this site.  If you have any mobility needs or other additional needs please do not hesitate to get in touch with us ahead of the event to discuss (email info@record-lrc.co.uk).

This session is aimed at adults and older children (i.e. those able to use the app on their own device), however anyone is welcome to attend (under 18s need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult). The event is free to attend. Please make sure you book tickets for everyone attending through Ticket Tailor as there are limited numbers.

The session is hosted by RECORD.
