Frodsham Woods Wildlife recording walk
At Frodsham Wood a former golf course has been transformed into a thriving new habitat for wildlife, managed by the Woodland Trust. We'll be exploring this interesting site, which includes a mosaic of woodland, grassland and watery habitat.
This event is part of the global City Nature Challenge, which brings people from over 500 areas together to celebrate and document biodiversity. Here in Chester our City Nature Challenge region includes not just the city but the also west Cheshire's more rural habitats, such as this one.
RECORD staff will be there throughout the session to share tips, guide you through the app, and help identify species along the way. No experience needed—just curiosity and a love of the outdoors!
This is an IN-PERSON event taking place outside. Details on the exact meeting point will be emailed to you when you book - please check your spam box if you've not heard from us.
Accessibility: We will be taking a slow stroll around the site. There are grassy paths and shallow slopes. If you have any mobility needs or other additional needs please do not hesitate to get in touch with us ahead of the event to discuss (email info@record-lrc.co.uk).
This session is aimed at adults and older children (i.e. those able to use the app on their own device), however anyone is welcome to attend (under 18s need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult). The event is free to attend. Please make sure you book tickets for everyone attending through Ticket Tailor as there are limited numbers.
The session is hosted by RECORD.
