Wildlife ID Pizza Party

The City Nature Challenge involves people in more than 500 City Regions working together to document the nature on their doorstep using the iNaturalist platform. Here in the Chester area we have big ambitions to collect thousands of records over the 4 days of the challenge. We're calling on local recorders and those with an interest in IDing to help us make these records even better... we'll bring pizza!

During this informal session we'll be looking at what's been recorded during the City Nature Challenge and using books, guides and our own knowledge to help verify or identify observations.

You don't need to be an expert to join, however please note this is not a taught ID workshop or 'quiz-style' session. It is most suitable for those with at least some existing identification experience, who would like to put their knowledge to good use whilst socialising and eating.

We'll provide a library of books and guides to help with identification. We'll also bring some devices to share and run through how to use the iNaturalist app and website to identify observations made by others.
