New Ferry Butterfly Park: 30 years of managing a site to benefit invertebrates

For our October Wildlife Exchange Session we're joined by a fantastically knowledgable guest speaker  - Hilary Ash from Wirral Wildlife.

Join us to learn more about New Ferry Butterfly Park, a unique Cheshire Wildlife Trust reserve. This remarkable site has been transformed from a former railway goods yard into a thriving haven for flying insects and countless other invertebrates.

For more than 30 years, the park has been carefully managed using innovative and sometimes surprising conservation techniques to help protect and boost insect populations at a time when many species are facing serious decline. Alongside conservation work, the the park has become a valued educational resource, inspiring people of all ages through activities ranging from outdoor learning to a unique art trail.

Our Wildlife Exchange Sessions are relaxed occasions, with time for asking questions and chatting with others after the talk. Free drinks and biscuits will be provided! The event is organised by RECORD and kindly hosted by Chester Zoo as part of the Networks for Nature project.

Please note that the event is aimed at adults, however older children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
