Calming the Nervous System:
Vagal Toning Practices for Trauma and Addiction Recovery
A conversation with Arielle Schwartz, PhD and Jan Winhall, MSW, PIFOT
About this gathering
Join Jan Winhall in conversation with internationally recognized trauma expert Arielle Schwartz for an experiential session exploring how gentle vagal toning practices can support recovery from trauma and addiction. Together, they'll discuss the science of the nervous system, the role of regulation in healing, and why restoring a sense of safety in the body is essential for lasting change.
Arielle will guide us through simple, accessible vagal toning practices that can be used to reduce stress, increase resilience, and strengthen the capacity for connection. This session is suitable for anyone in recovery, as well as family members, clinicians, and anyone interested in supporting nervous system health. No prior experience is necessary.
We never want cost to be the reason someone stays away. If a no-cost place would help you join us, you're warmly invited to request one. Just fill out this short form and we'll send you a code you can use at checkout for a no-cost ticket.
