About this gathering
This year marks thirty years since Dr. Stephanie Covington published A Woman's Way Through the Twelve Steps, a book that changed how so many women found themselves in recovery. When it first came out in 1994, it gave language to something that had been missing: the way women experience not just addiction and recovery, but relationships, self, sexuality, spirituality, and everyday life.
Join us for a Community Gathering with Dr. Covington as we look back on three decades of this work and what it means now. The newest edition has been updated with more inclusive, trauma-sensitive language, and it welcomes a broader circle: cisgender, transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people who see themselves in women's recovery.
Everyone is welcome, whether the book has been a companion to you for years or you're meeting it for the first time.
This gathering is offered on a donation basis, with a suggested contribution of $3. If that isn't possible for you, you're still very welcome to join.
If you can contribute, please do. Every contribution helps us continue offering these gatherings without a fee.

Recovery Reimagined workshops and community gatherings are educational and recovery-supportive spaces. They are designed to complement, rather than replace, professional mental health care, therapy, treatment or an individual's existing recovery program. Personal reflection and questions are welcome, but participation does not create a therapeutic or clinical relationship with Recovery Reimagined or a guest presenter.
