Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) is an advanced Scrum Master class designed to support Scrum Masters in their professional development.
Unlike the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) course which focuses on how to use Scrum, the Scrum framework and the role of the Scrum Master, PSM II is an advanced course helping students to understand the stances that characterise an effective Scrum Master while diving deep into how they serve the Developers, Product Owner and organisation. The course then teaches students about related practices and skills to enable them to have the right types of conversations and how to apply them to become better Scrum Masters.
Students will learn about areas critical to growing as a successful Scrum Master such as how the principles and values of Scrum help guide Scrum Masters in the decisions they make and how the Scrum Master can help change the environment of Scrum Teams, creating the conditions for agility to thrive.
Overview
Prerequisites
The Professional Scrum Master II is an advanced course specifically designed for Scrum Masters with at least one year of experience and who have a thorough understanding of the Scrum framework. Having previously taken the PSM class is recommended, but not required.
It is also recommended to have passed the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) assessment.
For all of our live virtual classes, we use Zoom as our conference tool. Zoom is very secure. It uses end-to-end encryption and delegates can only access the conference via an admin controlled waiting room. Activities are carried out with Mural. No software is required to be pre-installed for these tools, though you may need to check that there are no security policies that block the use of these tools if you are joining us through a corporate network. We ask you to try to ensure a steady internet connection (for example by connecting through cable rather than with WiFi).
Certification and Assessment
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Master II course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) assessment. PSM II class participants who attempt the PSM II assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.
