Description

Learn to make your online gatherings even better than in-the-room ones.

Why join this remote training?

Ever wanted to sneak away from your computer during deadly webinars? We believe online should be even better than in-the-room, no matter how many people show up. The scale of the online event should not affect the levels of productivity and fun.

Who’s it for?

It’s for businesses, organisations and individuals who want their remote gatherings, such as seminars, whole-team events and conferences, to generate energy and engagement... but who recognise the challenges that this involves.

Web Events That Connect has been in huge demand within organisations in the current crisis and has helped a number of international bodies to take planned in-the-room events "suddenly online".

Here we're offering it as a public training. Attend if you want to organise, design, produce and facilitate highly-participative online events with an educational element, for groups of between 20 and 200 participants.

  • Attending an edition of this training is an essential prerequisite for becoming a Rees McCann licensed trainer.

Prices

  • The complete course, 30 June and 7 July, 8am to noon UK time, is £600 per person, plus VAT where applicable
  • Day 1 only, 30 June 8am to noon UK time, is £325 per person, plus VAT where applicable.

What do you get?

“Two things happen when you take this course. First, you gain an awareness for how terrible most online events are (including your own). Second, you learn what it actually takes to rise above the status quo through participatory methods. Judy shares the knowledge and experience you need to run better, more humane events that bring people together and leave them better off. Believe me, it makes worlds of difference." Ben Mosior, Principal Consultant, Hired Thought

"This course will help me to design, produce and facilitate meaningful and engaging online events for the charity sector. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to create events that really allow for collaboration and connection." Helen Underwood, Events & Communications Officer, Lloyds Bank Foundation

How is the remote training delivered?

Four modules are delivered as two half-day sessions, via Zoom. You will need a decent internet connection, a webcam and headset, and a quiet place to call from.

"Judy was able to lead a two-day, 8-hour training that somehow managed to keep me fully engaged the ENTIRE TIME! OVER ZOOM! It's a miracle. Everyone who presents regularly needs this course." Tannah Z Marshall, President of Naturally Thorough Cleaners

Your Trainer: Judy Rees

Named as a ‘Top 100 influencer in Remote Working’ in 2020 by Onalytica, Judy was an early adopter of remote facilitation as she trained international groups on high-level communication skills for leaders. In those days people assumed that in-the-room classes were essential but Judy ran her courses live online using basic video tools… and the students loved it! She’s stayed on the leading edge of live online training, facilitation and consultancy ever since.

“Judy Rees is at the top of her game and possibly the leading thinker on facilitating remote meetings effectively. I recommend her and her work in a heartbeat." Paul Crick, Management Consultant, UK
