The Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA), launched by the UK government in the summer of 2022, could potentially bring forward the most comprehensive and far-reaching set of reforms to the UK electricity market since the New Electricity Trading Arrangements (NETA) and British Electricity Trading and Transmission Arrangements (BETTA) reforms at the turn of the century.
Regen has been engaging closely with the process throughout 2023 and, with a further REMA consultation expected this autumn, is convening the sector to discuss the evolving priorities and key reform options posed by REMA, as well as the outstanding uncertainties, risks and opportunities.
We are hosting this session in London to hear directly from representatives from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, debate the most important issues for the clean energy sector to consider and discuss the key options for reform with leading developers and investors.
This is a Regen and Electricity Storage Network thought leadership event, kindly sponsored by Shoosmiths.
