'9to5' Musical Theatre Jazz Workshop

Two classes aimed at a different level of skill/need – both on the same night:

Singers/Actors Jazz (6:00-7:15pm)

Adv/Pro Jazz (7:30-8:45pm)

With the arrival of the hit musical ‘9to5’ at QPAC later this month, The RELOAD team are thrilled to be bringing Assistant Dance Captain Jackson Reedman to the room, in the first of our show-specific Musical Theatre Jazz Workshops for both Singers/Actors and Adv/Pro jazz dancers.

In this fabulous workshop, you will learn the 9to5 routine, in an audition-like environment. But, as is becoming
traditional here at RELOAD, we like to ensure the participants have every opportunity to learn; encouraging all dancers to bring their inquisitive minds and pertinent questions.

The ‘9to5’ Musical Theatre Jazz Workshop will be an inclusive and welcoming environment for all dancers to upskill and re-stretch!

We are again offering a separate class for each skill level:

The Singers/Actors Jazz class (6:00-7:15pm) is built for the professional singer who is considered a confident mover.

The Adv/Pro jazz class (7:30-8:45pm) is for those trained dancers out there wanting to be pushed in detail, speed and artistry.

Of course, if you’re really hungry, you should probably book for both.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 

- Appropriate dance wear required for all classes.

- Please arrive warmed up and ready to go.

- Appropriate dance shoes, jazz/sneakers and/or chorus heels are desired for all classes.

- Bring a small towel & water bottle.

- You are welcome to book for both classes.

Jackson Reedman

Born and bred on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Jackson commenced his dance and vocal training at a young age finding his love for performing in many local productions. After graduating he travelled to New York City to begin formal training in Musical Theatre. He returned to Australia to finish his tertiary tuition at Patrick Studios Australia, studying Musical Theatre under the direction of renowned choreographer Andrew Hallsworth. Jackson made his professional musical theatre debut in the original Australian production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2019 and re-joined the production for the 2021 tour. Jackson's other recent credits include the Elvis Baz Luhrmann film due for release by Warner Brothers this year and the role of Stormtrooper in Altitude Theatre's The Producers at Brisbane Powerhouse. Currently Jackson is performing in Crossroads Live's Production of 9to5 the Musical as well as being the Assistant Dance Captain for the production.
