Textile composting represents a promising avenue for achieving circularity by transforming natural fiber textiles into valuable soil amendments that support carbon sequestration and soil health restoration. Early findings suggest that municipal textile composting could serve as an additional tool in the circular economy toolbox, one that not only diverts waste but actively contributes to environmental regeneration while addressing issues of environmental in/justice in global waste management.
