Remarkable Places: Private tour of The Foundling Museum and lunch at The Lamb

Wed 9 Sep 2026 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM The Foundling Museum, WC1N 1AZ

Be part of the very first Remarkable Places event!

Discover one of London's most fascinating smaller museums on a private guided tour, before enjoying a two-course lunch at the historic Lamb pub in Bloomsbury.

We'll begin with a private one-hour guided tour of the Foundling Museum, where an expert guide will bring to life the remarkable story of the Foundling Hospital – Britain's first children's charity. You'll discover the inspiring people behind its creation, including Thomas Coram, William Hogarth and George Frideric Handel, while exploring the museum's collections and fascinating history.

After the tour, we'll take a short walk to The Lamb, a beautifully preserved Victorian pub, where we'll enjoy a two-course lunch together. There'll be plenty of time to chat, share impressions of the museum and celebrate the launch of Remarkable Places.

What's included

  • Private one-hour guided tour of the Foundling Museum
  • Museum admission
  • Two-course lunch at The Lamb
  • A small group of no more than 14 guests

A welcome soft drink is included with lunch, with additional drinks available to purchase from the bar.

There will, however, be some walking to and from the museum and to the pub afterwards (approximately 10 minutes). Please wear comfortable footwear. If you have any accessibility requirements, please let me know in advance so I can do my best to accommodate them.
