Join Remarkable Places for a private guided tour with art historian Julie Barlow of one of Britain's most elegant historic buildings, followed by a two-course lunch overlooking the River Thames.

Designed by Inigo Jones in the early 17th century, the Queen's House is widely regarded as the first classical building in England. Home to an outstanding collection of paintings, fascinating royal history and the iconic Tulip Stairs, it sits at the heart of Maritime Greenwich, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Julie will bring the House to life, sharing the stories behind its remarkable architecture, royal connections and works of art.

After the tour, we'll take a short walk to the historic Trafalgar Tavern, one of Greenwich's best-known riverside pubs. Dating back to 1837, it has welcomed everyone from Charles Dickens to politicians and royalty, and provides the perfect setting to enjoy a relaxed two-course lunch together.

Whether you come on your own or with friends, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet like-minded people, enjoy good conversation and discover another remarkable place.

The event includes:

• Two-course lunch at the Trafalgar Tavern
• A welcome soft drink with lunch

Additional drinks can be purchased at the bar.

Group size is limited to 20 people.

The Queen's House is accessible, with step-free access to almost all areas, lifts and accessible toilet facilities. There will, however, be some walking between the Queen's House and the Trafalgar Tavern (approximately 6 minutes), so please wear comfortable footwear. If you have any accessibility requirements, please let me know in advance so I can do my best to accommodate them.

Refund Policy

If your plans change, the following refund policy applies:

• Cancellations made 14 days or more before the event will receive a full refund.
• Unfortunately, refunds cannot be given for cancellations made less than 14 days before the event, as arrangements with venues and partners will already have been confirmed.
• If I am able to resell your place, I will be happy to offer a refund, less any booking fees where applicable.
• If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else. Please let me know their name and contact details before the event.
• If I need to cancel the event for any reason, you will receive a full refund or, if you prefer, the option to transfer your booking to another event.
