Film Screening: Breaking the Line, House Rules, Operation Ex

We're excited to present three of our recent short films, OPERATION EX, HOUSE RULES, and BREAKING THE LINE, each of which have been hand-crafted together with a team of Ottawa-based creatives.

• Breaking the Line (22 mins) recently won Best Action Film at the Action Thriller Crime Adventure Film Festival Private Room 2025 in Tbilisi, Georgia. It's a high-tension, character-driven action thriller where a detective’s war against a crime syndicate becomes a mother’s battle for her child — raw, gripping, and adrenaline-charged. 

• House Rules (7 mins) is a horror-comedy, which follows an anxious young man and his sister. When they are stranded during a road trip they must challenge two sinister strangers to a game of cards with mysterious rules. What will happen if they lose?  

• And Operation Ex (7 mins) is a quirky comedy short film where a newbie spy faces her toughest assignment yet: she must put a tracking device on her ex.  

Doors open at 3:30p, screening kicks off at 4p, followed by a question and answer period. Will be a great opportunity to meet members of the cast and crew of these films.
