Images from the Id: The Strange World of Psychic Photographer Ted Serios with Dr. Mikita Brottman

Wed 18 Feb 2026 17:00 - 18:30 CET Online, Zoom

Following the huge success of Phantoms of the Clinic: From Thought-transference to Projective Identification,
Mikita Brottman will be presenting a follow up lecture, Images from the Id: The Strange World of Psychic Photographer Ted Serios

Can thoughts be captured on film? Can images from the imagination be captured in tangible form? Although widely dismissed as a fraud, the fascinating and peculiar “psychic photographer” Ted Serios apparently produced Polaroid images by staring into a camera, giving tangible access to his thoughts, emotions, preoccupations, and the abyss of the unconscious mind. The images he produced are, like dreams, composite enigmas, merging id and ego, blending and distorting space and time. Wherever these images came from, they remain endlessly haunting, puzzling, and compelling. In this class, Mikita Brottman will introduce us to the strange world of Ted Serios and his companion, mentor, explicator and champion, the psychoanalyst and investigator Jule Eisenbud, whose belief in Ted’s extraordinary ability never waned.

We will be meeting online for 90 minutes beginning at 11AM NYC (8AM Vancouver/ 4PM London/ 17:00 Stockholm/ 18:00 Beirut).

This event will be recorded and made available for all those who register.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and explore the depths of the unconscious mind. Register now and join us for an unforgettable experience!
