You love growing produce and the thought of making money from this hobby is quite enticing. But where and how do you even start?
Farmer Katy Dickson will share how she went from a one-acre garden and a tiny local market to where she is today: Seven acres of organically certified land, two farmers markets, a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) with four delivery locations, and restaurant sales.
The workshop includes a detailed farm tour as well as input on how to scale your production to how much you want to grow as well as the life balance you hope to achieve with an endeavor such as this.
Workshop fee: $50
BONUS: Registration includes a free copy of the book Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN Stories of Sustainable Living, Working & Playing (a $26.95 value) will be made available to every couple, household or family participating in this workshop (one free copy per address).

About Katy Dickson
After 12 years traveling the world, Katy and her husband Mark returned to the farm next to the one she grew up on. "I have a something in me, probably genetic, that just makes me want to grow plants and raise them so my family and friends can eat fresh and healthy produce.“ This farm is a certified-organic Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) operation.
