You’re invited to a pasture walk at Pado Farms to learn how these experienced farmers have been for the past 12 years rotationally grazing red angus beef cow/calf pairs.
Bonus: We'll have a chance to look at Paul's winter area as well as the livestock working tub & chute.
A warm invite to beginning farmers and new landowners interested in conservation resources. Event is free to attend. Snacks will be served. Registration appreciated but walk-ups welcome.
Speakers include:
Paul & Donna Habeck, Pado Farms
Kirsten Jurcek, Brattset Family Farm & Conservation Connector
Pasture walk highlights & expert input include:
- Cost share for rotational grazing (pasture establishment, fencing, waterlines, watering facilities & livestock lanes)
- Soil health benefits of rotational grazing, including how it increases everything from farm resilience to pollinators to carbon sequestration and decreases erosion, nutrient loss and farmer risk.
