Every year, as days grow longer and the sun warms our faces, many of us reach for a packet of seeds and a bag of compost. Whether it is a child growing sunflowers and beans on the windowsill, a container gardener, an allotment holder, or an experienced kitchen gardener, all the way to farmers working their fields, we are all connected by tiny capsules holding incredible potential for life and something tasty or beautiful after harvest.

But where do our seeds come from, who grows them, and how do we access them?

Join Renfrewshire Climate Hub and Diggin' It Seed Libraries to find out more about seeds and how you can enter into a new and exciting relationship with this precious gift. Seeds have been freely grown, saved, and exchanged by humans for thousands of years. Learn the basics of how to grow and save your own seeds for years to come and help preserve the diversity of open-pollinated varieties.
