Synthetic data & synthpop workshop
Thu 5 Sep 2024 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Meeting Room 3.55 Bayes Centre, Edinburgh, EH8 9BT
Description
Want to know more about working with synthetic data? Join our free workshop!
On Thursday 5th September, join us for a synthetic data workshop, and learn more about using the synthpop package in R. You'll learn to create synthetic versions of confidential individual-level data and discuss some of the implications of using low-fidelity versus high-fidelity synthetic data.
At the workshop, Professor Gillian Raab will give an introduction to synthpop and help users understand and work through issues. Participants must have a working knowledge of R and will need to bring their own laptop with synthpop installed.
There will be opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback on your experiences using synthpop and discuss your synthetic data needs before and throughout the workshop.
The workshop is in person only and will take place at The Bayes Centre, Edinburgh on Thursday 5th September (09:30 - 12:00).
- If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at engage@researchdata.scot
